A VETERAN OF BROADCAST NEWS… Fabiola has over twenty-three years of experience in TV, radio and internet news in both Mexico and the US (Univision, Televisa, CNI-40, Multivision, Radiorama, Radio Capital). She’s also a three-time Emmy Award winner, and recipient of the “Premio Nacional de Periodismo”, the highest recognition given to journalists in Mexico.
…WITH A PASSION FOR PHILANTHROPY… Fabiola enjoys working with non-profit organizations and supporting various social justice endeavors dedicated to helping at-risk youth and preventing domestic violence. For many years she has served as MC, panelist, and speaker at numerous advocacy and awareness-raising events.
These include the All-Stars Project, which seeks to transform the lives of at-risk youths through the power of performance arts, La Casa de las Madres, a drop-in crisis center for victims and survivors of domestic violence, and the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women, the first municipal department in the world reflecting the principles of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
